Saltwater Game Fish Fly Rods

 |
Travelling-Angler Series
Standard
freshwater rods often do not have the lifting power in the butt required
for use in saltwater to raise strong fish from the depths. An ideal rod
to begin with if you are not sure if you are going to continue saltwater
fly fishing, and a superb back-up if you decide to continue. The 10wt
has landed marlin to 80lbs - not that we would recommend that !!!
AFTM range
8/9 and 10/11 - 12/13 in development, watch this space.
They also make very good single handed salmon or seatrout rods

Freshwater Fly Rods
Vagabond series

While we
only intended to stock four piece saltwater rods we just had to have these.
The smallest quality travel rod we have seen. They pack down to 14"
yet they are superb casting tools also. They feature an up-locking reel
seat with a hardwood inset. Highly recommended. Try one with a Henschel
blue fly reel with progressive foot.
Travelling Angler Multipiece
Rods
Our own pack
rod with twobutt sections. With the extra piece you have a 9ft. rod taking
a 5/6 line, while on its own it forms a 7'6" rod for 4/5 lines. Very
transportable, this rod has a lovely feel to it in either form that you
would not expect from a combination dual-length rod.
Spinning Rods
Under Development
We have found
very few good quality travel spinning rods and have our own under development.
They will be 3 piece rod for 16-20 lb line, can also be built as a bait-caster
and 4-piece 9ft for 6-12 lb line.
